On behalf of BIOMEDE, an esteemed group of orthodontists spanning the globe, I, Elsa Arango, proudly serve as the current president. Our organization, founded in 2019 under the leadership of Dr. Giorgio Fiorelli and Dr. Birte Melsen (an honorary member), is dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of biomechanics in orthodontics.

Our mission is multifaceted, encompassing the promotion of biomechanical education in orthodontic practice, the advocacy of biomechanics’ pivotal role in orthodontic treatment, and the preservation of the legacy left by the pioneers of biomechanics in our field.

To fulfill these objectives, we host symposiums biennially. The inaugural gathering took place in Doha from January 24 to 26, 2019, followed by a post-pandemic event held in Rome in 2023.

It is with great pleasure that I extend an invitation to you to serve as a distinguished speaker at our upcoming Third World Orthodontic Biomechanics Symposium, scheduled for August 21, 22 and 23, 2025, in the beautiful city of Cartagena, Colombia. Given your esteemed career and expertise, your participation in this event would be a tremendous honor.

Our plan is to organize on August 21 a full day Hands On in collaboration with Ortho Organizers and a 2-hour lecture, focus on biomechanics, on August 22.  Please confirm all the arrangements we should do for your visit to our event.  In addition to our academic program, our interest is that you feel at home and live a wonderful experience in our country, so please let us know if you would like to organize any additional visit in our country.
